# Lead Finder

Lead Finder helps users define an ideal customer profile, search for matching people, enrich verified contact details, download a CSV, and move selected leads into OrcaPulse workflows.

## Overview

Lead Finder is a prospecting workflow inside OrcaPulse. The user enters the target industry, job title or role, location, lead count, company size, and whether phone numbers should be included. OrcaPulse runs the search and returns a structured table of leads that can be exported or added to a workflow.

The feature is designed for fresh lead generation. Each user keeps the latest generated result, while the backend also remembers previously shown lead fingerprints so repeated searches do not return the same LinkedIn or email records to that same user.

## Search inputs

- Industry: the market or vertical to search, such as real estate, agencies, healthcare, SaaS, or local services.
- Job title / role: the person type to target, such as founder, owner, CEO, broker, director, or managing director.
- Location: any city, region, country, or Any for worldwide results.
- Number of leads: the exact number of profiles OrcaPulse should process for that run.
- Company size: optional company-size targeting for narrowing the profile search.
- Phone numbers: optional enrichment that can add phone data when providers return it.

## Pipeline

1. Search people: OrcaPulse requests matching people profiles from the target criteria.
2. Enrich contact data: OrcaPulse enriches returned profiles for verified email details and optional phone data.
3. Export or import: the generated CSV downloads automatically, and leads can also be added into a selected workflow.

Users do not choose providers directly. OrcaPulse handles provider calls, reads the actual provider charge, and returns a clean result.

## Result fields

Result fields are optional except the core profile fields returned by the provider. If a provider does not return a field, OrcaPulse leaves that cell blank instead of guessing.

- Index number
- Name
- LinkedIn URL
- Job title
- Headline
- Location
- Industry
- Company name
- Website or portfolio
- Work email
- Personal email
- Phone number
- Email confidence score

## Billing

Lead Finder uses the same OrcaPulse credit system as the rest of the platform. The form shows an estimate before the search runs, but the final deduction uses the actual charge returned by the provider gateway for that run.

One credit equals one US dollar. When the provider returns a real priceCents value, OrcaPulse converts that to credits and deducts that amount from the user.

- Pre-check: OrcaPulse checks that the user has enough credits for the estimated run.
- Actual charge: after provider calls finish, OrcaPulse deducts the actual provider-reported amount.
- Failed runs: if the search fails before a usable result, users are not charged by OrcaPulse.
- Pricing page: public estimates are listed on /pricing/lead-finder.

## Saved results

OrcaPulse keeps the latest generated Lead Finder result available to the user, even if they refresh the browser or return to the page later. When the user runs a new search, the visible saved result is replaced by the new result so the platform does not keep growing user-visible lead lists indefinitely.

Separately, the backend stores compact lead fingerprints for that user. These fingerprints are used only to avoid showing the same LinkedIn URL or email again in later Lead Finder searches.

## Workflow import

Generated leads can be moved into an existing OrcaPulse workflow. The user selects a workflow from the results header, then chooses Add to Workflow for one lead or Add All to Workflow for the full result set.

- CSV export: the generated CSV downloads automatically after a successful search.
- Manual export: the Export CSV button remains available after results load.
- Workflow import: imported leads enter the selected workflow for follow-up automation.

## Best practices

- Start with a focused industry and role before widening the search.
- Use Any location only when the offer is not location-sensitive.
- Run small tests first, review quality, then increase lead count.
- Choose phone enrichment only when calling is part of the follow-up plan.
- Export the CSV immediately if the team needs offline review.
